ASA art exhibit honors autism

The Autism Society of America (ASA) has launched an exhibit of art created by individuals on the Autism spectrum. You can see the artwork now by linking to the exhibit online.

Easter Seals partnered with ASA a year ago, and the two have been bringing a unique wealth of knowledge and services to families with autism ever since. A press release about the partnership quoted Lee Grossman, president and chief executive officer of ASA.

“By far the most important feature of this partnership is how we are measuring its success,” added Grossman. “If we succeed, more people with autism and the people who live with them, and the people who treat them, will receive the services and supports they deserve. In a generation, autism will be an accepted, and honored, part of the human condition.”

Art exhibits like this one help us understand autism the way Lee Grossman describes it: as an accepted, and honored, part of the human condition.
